Great new service by the Singapore bunker supplier
Recently a bunker trader / supplier in Singapore experimenting live steam the MFM figures to the client in real time ! As both a trader and supplier myself see this service is 100% valuable.
Very often we receive phone call from client or trader that asking the same question : ” Where is the bunker barge ? The vessel been waiting for 2 hours !!”. After we call the operation desperately, the answer normally is ” Vessel being alongside and supplying few hours ago.”. Turn out there are time lag between the message between the ship and the office, and office to bunker trader, the bunker trader to supplier. With the live stream service it could definitely eliminate those misunderstand and be very helpful.
Other benefit could be for vessel which is in rush to the next port. With the live steam of MFM figures, operator could have a higher accuracy on estimation when the ship can finish bunkering and move to next port. Thus its easier to arrange all the loading / unloading on that basis.
